Godiva inspired by the Cake World with new cupcake inspired chocolates

Godiva has drawn inspiration from the Cake World and releases cupcake inspired chocolates for the Valentine's Day season.

I’ve heard of chocolate inspired cupcakes before, but cupcake inspired chocolates is a new one. Thanks to Godiva…we can all experience this dream idea in reality this Valentine’s Day season. If you haven't heard, Godiva released a limited addition cupcake inspired chocolate collection designed to invoke the powerful spirit of love in all its forms. Here’s what they had to say in their official press release….

“Cupcakes have been around since at least the 19th century and have been helping to make our lives that much sweeter ever since. These mini-cakes, the perfect single-serving of deliciousness, are the inspiration behind GODIVA’s new Valentine’s Day chocolates.

The Cupcake-Inspired Collection features four beautiful, premium white, milk, or dark chocolate cups brimming with indulgence and designed to invoke the powerful spirit of love in all its forms. Each piece is delicately filled with delicious tiers of salted caramel, smooth ganache, or a flavorful mousse.”

The collection’s flavor combinations include: “White Chocolate and Strawberry, Dark Chocolate Ganache, Coffee Ganache with Caramel Swirl, and Dark Chocolate and Matcha Ganache.”

First of all…I absolutely love this concept! It’s so adorable and cute! I also love the fact that Godiva stayed well within their wheelhouse of chocolate and mousse while drawing inspiration from the cake world.

Secondly, I love the fact that I was actually on the same page as Godiva this season in that I created my own mousse dessert for the holiday that mimics cupcakes. I call them mousse cups, and they are delicious!

The only downside is that my family said I didn’t make enough. LOL! I shared the tutorial here on the blog. So, make sure to check out the FREE tutorial here by clicking this link.

My question for you Sweet Peeps is…were you inspired to do something new and different with your Valentine’s Day menu this season? If so, comment below, and if not…let us know what your popular Valentine’s Day menu item was this year. Let’s chat and learn from each other!
